I'm trying to find some different styles for the season. Bunning is impossible for my hair length & bulk and I really don't care for it. The twists are working but I don't think I will bantu knot the ends anymore. I am now 7 weeks post relaxer. I usually go 12 weeks, but I want to go longer. I have a birthday coming up at the end of January and I don't want to be traveling with new growth and I'm pretty sure I won't have time to baby my hair. It depends on how manageable my new growth will be. If it gets out of hand, hopefully I will come up with something before mid January.

Ok..first blog, I cut about six inches from my ends and Aug. 30th I evened out my bangs and cut about five inches of strings off. Anywho...my bangs grew back to lower-lip length. November 7th, I was too chicken to cut eyebrow or lower eyelid length so I trimmed to upper lip length. After the first blog, I was having mixed feelings and wanted to cut the whole thing off. Now, I think I'm going to trim them maybe an inch at a time until they are full all the way across.

I'm not sure what's doing it, but something I'm using is changing my hair color. I had no idea this was going on at the back and side of my hair. I've read in some places that honey will or may lighten your hair color. I'm using honey in my deep conditioners, garlic treatments and sometimes in my co-washes.
In the last couple of weeks, I'm beginning to overcome my fear of using Ayurvedic powders. From reading the back of the box, Amla suppose to darken and strengthen the hair and the Shikakai is a strengthener as well. I'm thinking my hair is getting darker, but to me my hair looks like its 3 different colors. I remember doing a Burgundy Henna color, but it should be washed off by now, its been 2 months or so now. I can see some Burgundy, but where did the brown streaks come from? I guess my next project is to do a black Henna treatment...maybe.

I'm finally getting around to my "finished cut." I did my first cut on an impulse. I was 11 weeks and five days post relaxer. This was my first time going this long. I stretched my relaxer longer this time by adding coconut oil, glycerin and honey to my regimen at about 8-9 weeks post relaxer. Anywho...the reason for the cut was to get rid of past damaged strands due to lack of knowledge and breakage. I had to reevaluate my goals for healthier hair resulting in the CUT :)
mm The right side is the length on the first cut and the left is the finished cut length. Now the bangs...the bang was cut on 8-30-08 at nose length now it's at lower lip length. I'm still undecided about it. e
